Sub $500 Moa/Moa medium range scope advice

Hey guys,
I’ve been running Redfield 3-9x Tac-Moa’s on my bolt guns for the last few years. I’m working on a 260rem for reaching some longer ranges and would like a higher powered scope (at least 14x max magnification).
I really like the Tac-Moa’s because the turrets are low profile. Most other scopes that I’ve seen have really big turrets that stick out over an inch from the tube, which seems like they’re just asking to get smashed on something in the field or in the safe.

I noticed the Truglo Eminus 16. Anyone had experience with these?

I’m in Australia and the options here are somewhat limited but I’m happy to source from the US though.

Thanks in advance.

On my tac trainer I added an Athlon Argos 6-24x50 after reading many favorable reviews for around 1/2 year. For a little over $350 and made in China, it is an excellent scope for the money. Been running it for about 1.5yr with no problems. I'm constantly turning the turrets for 300-1100yds, and the reticle subtensions are accurately calibrated vs the turrets as well. Optical quality is not quite as good as a Sightron SIII I have, but then its only 1/2 the cost too. Mine is mil/mil but a moa model is also available. Unconditional mfg warranty if any problems, and I would not hesitate to buy another for similar use.

cabela's had vortex viper 4-16 and 6-24x 50 on sale for 399 late last year.
both are 30mm tubes. both sell for almost 600 at cabelas.
i used a one day $45 discount and points to get mine for about $140 out the door.
so keep an eye on their sales

I'll second the Sightron scopes. There are a few in that price range. The STACs fit about in the middle somewhere. MOA models a bit higher but well under 500.00.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
It does seem like the Athlon scopes are great value for money. I think I might look into finding an Aussie stockist.
Cheers.

Check the elevation adjustment available on the Athlons, not as much as the Sightrons.
