Sub $500/500 yd gopher scope

Looking for a good scope for my 22-250 for shooting the Richardton's Ground Squirrels and Prairie Dogs from 50 to around 500 yds. I'd like some sort of hold-over reticle if possible.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

i shoot a 22-250 out to the 500 area using 55sierra bk, at 3700 -i have picked up a number of Luepold 6.5x20 used for about $4-450- all work well

Iput the turent knob on virticle for quick changes

You are going to get a lot of different opinions on this but I prefer to click for elevation and hold off for windage. I use mildots. I think a Vortex Viper will be your best bet under 500.00. You could find a Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x40sf for a little over 500.00 or non-side focus for a little under 500.00. I own several 4200s and love them.
