Any pics? LolPost 64 (that's push feed for you civilians) Model 70 Featherweight, in 270 Win (so bog standard). Has a unremarkable 3-9 scope of its era on it. Bore is the same color as the Statue of Liberty.
Price?
A low, low $1995.00.
I am gobsmacked.
I wouldn’t even begin negotiations with such an unreal starting price.$1995 leaves quite a lot of bargaining room. Better bring a lunch if you're serious.
Sure have.I was wondering how being a mere civilian limits ones knowledge of Model 70s? There have been more years than not since 1964 where CRF model 70s have been built.
Again, I just got a steal at this shop on a 1947 Mod 70, with a bore that wasn't the same color as the Statue of Liberty. Price just doesn't make sense even compared to other stuff at this shop. Why sell at an increased but fair price when do as much business as before when you can triple the price and sell one every now and then and make the same money.
The Pre-64 Winchester was the one with a barrel that WASN'T f'd up. The XTR was the one that is bright verdigris colored. The Pre-64 also was sub $500, not $1995.What makes a 1947 model 70 whinchester with a F’ed up barrel all that great ? I dont get it, we’re they any more accurate than a new rifle ? We have beautiful weatherby MK-V s that get sold for that big number .
