I think it's great that Stu received recognition for his 600 yd accomplishment. I have known Stu for a long time. Stu was competing at my 1st BR Shoot. That was at Eagle Rock, Calif in 1977. Back then he was recognized in Calif BR as a top shooter. Stu had great success with his 6x47 setting the 200 yd LV record at .109 that stood for some 20 years.
I shoot with Stu at Visalia along with Dick Howell and Tom Price. Stu has done all his own gunsmithing and made his own bullets for most of his Shooting career. He has chambered several 22PPC barrels for me. Stu has competed in Schuetzen competition also. Stu is very competitive in BR but a lot of fun to be around to.

Stephen, Stu and I shared a conversation a couple of weekends ago; one would NEVER guess his age by his voice and enthusiasm for BR shooting and bullet making - his passion and sense of HUMOR are contagious! Stu was kind enough to share a few bullet making "secrets" with me. It seems that we have both been corresponding with Henry Childs, who has helped both Stu and I improve our LONG RANGE bullets. It appears that Henry may well be correct: REAL WORLD BC is NOT all about mass! I thank both Stu and Henry appreciate that they would share their considerable knowledge! R.G.
