Straight or sloped rear bag

I have been looking at Protektor Dr bags for my rifle and noticed they make a straight and sloped version of the bag with the correct spacing between the ears and the correct ear height. Would I be correct in assuming the straight bag would be best for a stock with little to no slope and the sloped version would be best for a sloped stock? Would you lose anything by using a sloped Dr bag with a rifle with a straight rear stock? What about if the stock forearm and rear are not on the same plain, would the straight version track better or would the sloped version be better because of less contact with the rear bag?

It depends on your usage. In F-class, it is unlikely (short of shooting from a concrete pad) that the rear bag will sit level with the angle of the rifle, so full support simply does not happen.

I shoot both sloped bags and a flat topped DR bag. Neither is better for F-class. Pick what makes you happy.

Yes.
Yes.
If you're using a mechanical front rest you'll want everything to be in line.
