Not sure what to call it but I want one

Does anyone make/sell a adapter that fits on the bottom of a sloped stock converting it to a flat bottom so it rides the bag straight back? I would try to whittle one but when I try to make anything out of wood I end up with a pile of sawdust and toothpicks :o

It's called a bag rider.

I've had/have, the Whidden Track Plate, the Sinclair fore end adapter, the EGW bag rider for AR-15 foreends (they also make one for Picatinny rails), and a custom Delrin one made by my smith that attaches to a picatinny rail (all my non-F-Class bolt action rifles have Picatinny rails on the bottom instead of a sling stud, to mount an Atlas bipod).

All of them work pretty good, except for the Sinclair, which I found fussy to mount and prone to rotating. Nowadays I use the Whidden plate and the custom made one exclusively (since it also attaches to the bottom of AR-15s with quad rails, etc.).

rookie,
kind of a long shot, but I bet if you called Gary Elesio or PMd here in the forum (gme) he would hook you up with the bag rider part he uses in the tube guns. I hope this helps or was close to what you were looking for. ???
cheers,
Doc

Thanks guys but what I'm looking for would fit on the back, behind the trigger to remove the angle, riding on the rear bag.

I made one out of a piece of delrin. Measured the angle, cut a radius to halfway align it to fit the stock, cut a male 45 degree on the bottom to fit the bag and drilled & counterbored a hole to attach using the rear sling swivel screw.

This one was made from a piece of 3/4" PVC pipe. It would be hard to get any cheaper. Attaches in the sling stud hole.
