Stole Teddy action

About $50, but I'll make you a deal and give you $75 if you pay the shipping. ;D

Some more details would help. Round count or age (check serial number)? Coned or flat bolt? Boltface diameter? Ejector? Any galling of the lugs, abutments, threads, or receiver face? Finish (bead blasted or polished)? Evidence of being glued in? Trigger hanger or pins (some old Stolles have pins)?

I'd make a ballpark guess that a Teddy in average condition would fetch $500-$700.

farmer,,,,remember that the Teddy has the same thread as a Polar, but not the same as the more common Panda/Kodiak/Grizzly II,,,,Roger

While you may find a Teddy that has dual ports and ejects it is less likely as during the time it was made eject models and dual ports were not as readily used as they are today. I have seen a lot of Teddys but don't recall seeing one with dual ports. There are modifications that have been done by individuals to Teddys, like cutting the length down to match Panda length! They were available in R/R, R/L, & L/R. I have theR/L version, and it has served me well. If you look on Shooters Corner you might find one. If you have a Dual port Action only, I would think $850-950. By the way if it is dual port Kelbly's can do a modification to the bolt to make it an eject model. Cost $75.00 just got mine back today for dual port Polar and it works great!

That was very helpful thanks so much for the info. It seems he wants a lot of money and he is bringing it over today to give me a look. I will keep you guys updated.

Is it just the action or a complete rifle?

Action- $650-$750

Complete Rifle - ??? Depends on condition of everything else. How bad is the stock, barrel(s), trigger, etc... $1100-$1200

I'm cheap and only buy used rifles if I feel it is a deal and/or I can get my investment back if I end up not keeping it. At $650 for the action you can have the complete rifle built for under $1800 which is a pretty good deal. Teddys are pretty good actions from what I've been told by people who know.

If it is a complete rifle, depending on barrel round count I wouldn't go much over $1600.00! Low round count, nice paint, scope = a bit more money.

It is supposed to be in mint condition. chambered in 30BR high gloss BR stock in Black some ammo. 36x Leupold scope BR trigger type not known, Wilson dies. Not sure on others but he is asking big money Like $3000.00 I am thinking I could build a BAT for that but I should see it today thanks again for the feedback.

Regardless of what stock is on it, it's not $3000. With the scope and dies it's over $2k, but be smart. $4000 will build you just about any BAT you want in a 30BR in a carbon fiber stock and a Leupold Competition, about $500 less in fiberglass with a used scope.
