IBS rules say a certain rake & weight is required for the stock. It can't be a straight line. Ubr can be straight line.
When a desired weight is wanted choice of stock is part of the equation.
I was guided by Smith and stock makers towards what i was having built.
I have a McMillan on a 30 caliber 13.5lb. it's balance weighted in the butt. "Custom"
And a customized shehan style (sp?) Wood on 6bra.17lb. i don't know if it's balance weighted or not. Never took off butt plate. It's balanced though.
"Unlimited"
An older McMillan and an unknown (2) for my Kodiak light weight. Not balanced very barrel end heavy.
"Custom or varmit/hunter"
