Hello everyone! Well I came across a killer deal today from a friend on a savage target action. I'm thinking of building a 6br out of it. I had one a few years ago and regret ever selling it. Any way I was looking around to try and find a stock for this action. This 6br will be used for just shooting around with friends and ground hog hunting or p dogs if I ever get the chance to go west again! Not looking to dump 1k in a stock for this build. I would like to go with a nice stock tho. I have looked on HS's site and Micmillan's site. I haven't found any stocks that fit the target action. Will I have to have something specially built for this action or what? I know that they both make stocks to fit savage 10 actions but do they make them to fit the savage target action. I have been told there is a difference in the action screws between the two?

HS Precision is who makes the stock for the LRPV's, so they do make them for the target action. Those are great stocks if you can find one for sale.
Try looking up Stocky's Stocks. They sell B&C, Boyds, HS, and others for all gun makes, but they should sell the HS stock for a target action.

By the way, if you dont mind not using the center screw on the target action it will fit the same stocks as a centerfeed short action. The outer two action screw spacing on the target action is 4.400', which is the same as the newer short actions
