stocks, HS, High tech, etc

changing out a wood stock on 700bdl 7-08, looking for suggestion on which synthetic to go to, expect not to exceed 3-350yd on deer, gun shoots .500

trying to reduce weight, not sold on pilar bedding

Try HS Precision, your order can be customized, are tough, normally full aluminum bedding. I really love the one I have on my Savage.

While H-S is a decent stock, most typically go around 36 ounces, which will probably ADD weight to the original set-up, not reduce it.
 
Look at Brown Precision Kevlar for light weight. They have a "pounder" (about 16oz before bedding and pad). I have two for hunting.
 
have not done business with them in a long time but is MPI still around? I just got one backin the shop i did 20years ago . hunted hard and held up well you paint them . Don't know exact weight but it was the lightest at the time . Also Mark Bansner makes his own stocks claims to be very light . The Rifler
