Stockade Rollover Cheek Piece stock

Building a rifle I have always wanted. So far have a 28" barrel in 264 win mag coming. Savage 110 action. Rifle Basix Sav-1 trigger in route as well as Nikon 5-20 scope. What is missing is a stock. I already have a Stockade Prairie dog and elk stalker stock. With that said for this build have been looking at the rollover cheek piece stock from Kevin Rayhill. Looking for input from those who have this stock. SO what are the good and bad points of it? Looks very similar to a Boyd's or revolution thumbhole offerings. So is it the same or drastically different? Thank you in advance for any input on the RCP stock.

So you know it will probably take 9 months to a year to get it. I had a LRBR and it was a nice stock, but if I had everything else I would not wait that long for a stock to finish it out. Plenty of options on the shelf.

Oh yes Sir i get it will more than likely take a full year to get it from Mr Kevin. I have more patience than hair :)
Also this is a rifle i want, not need. I have plenty in the safes to tide me over.

I have one on a stevens 7-08 I really like it I think kevin said that the thumbhole on his is bigger than most others not sure though it handles/ balances real well with the 22 in sporter barrel I want to build up another one like it and have been considering the boyds also but it looks like the vertical grip has a sharp contour that drops below the butstock where the stockade is flush & doesent get snagged on stuff

Thank you so much for the reply! A few questions please. Since the safety is behind the bolt, have you found any issues maneuvering your thumb from operating the safety to back in the hole? How long was your wait time on it? Would you happen to recall weight of the stock alone?

No problems with safety pretty natural back to fire position I do have to release my grip to reach the safety though, wait time was short on this one few years back but a rifle I had built was a nightmare and not even close to what I was told for a timeline way more than double if I remember correct ,I dont have a good way to weight it but my household scales say 10 lbs for rifle with a rail ,rings, and a weaver tactical 2.5x10x40 and 10 rounds on the stock, I am pretty sure it is a little on the heavy side vs others but I do really like it would love to have one with the adjustable cheek & maybe without the full aluminum to save a little weight if it was doable

Be careful to not allow the safety to become contaminated with hair. When shooting I wear a skull cap, safety works and no sunburn either.

I have one on my 6.5x47 that used to be a 308. The stock is great! It is a bit slower getting to the bolt handle with my hand through the thumbhole, but I really like the stability I get holding, and the comfort of the stock for shooting. I got mine ufinished and did the sealing and painting myself.

Have any of yall had the opportunity to compare it to say a Boyd's or Revelation thumbhole stock? Is so are the hole sizes for the laminates same size as the Stockade?
