Stock?

When I get my rifle finished, I plan on shooting prone off bags or off a bench with bags. Would you get a thumbhole stock or a standard stock. I will not be shooting in competition with this rifle. What is the most comfortable and easiest to shoot with?

"Comfort" is a very subjective thing. What I determine as comfortable, someone else might not. I started with conventional stocks (and still have some) but I prefer the "comfort" of a thumbhole. But not all thumbholes feel the same either. The best way is to feel one, or better yet, shoot one for yourself.

GREAT ADVICE! I spent the money on a Thumbhole and "figured" I'd like it after feeling others. After a couple outtings, learned I "figured wrong" and changed back to the standard stock and sold the thumbhole. Each to his or her own I guess.
