Stock suggestions for Howa Mini

l couldn't resist the Brownell bbld action w trigger sale in 223 chambering.
That means l be needing a stock for a squirrel gun. I don't have tools other than chisels, hammer, some sandpaper, air tool w a carbide burr iirc. Not looking for anything fancy.

Suggestions?

I have a mini in 6.5 Grendel with 20” heavy barrel. I put a Boyd’s AT ONE stock on it but don’t really like the action or stock. To me it feels too much like a rifle for a kid. I like the adjustable lop and cheek riser but just can’t get warmed up to it. Probably going on the chopping block soon. Nothing wrong with the rifle or stock just don’t like the feel of it.

Put a B&C on mine, be aware that the comb is pretty high on these, but they are a drop in so sounds like what you are looking for. Put the hinged floorplate bottom metal from oregunsmithing on it and a JARD trigger and it made up a very nice little varmint rifle.

The easy button.

I was about to buy a Howa Mini in 6.5 Grendel and replace it with Oregon Gunsmith stock and bottom metal. When my wife found out the stock was more than the rifle, she told me it was not a smart move money wise.
What does she know?
Their bottom metal is nice. I used a $50 blank.

Have a 6.5 Grendel in a B&C stock with flush bottom metal, lite and handy.
A heavy barrel 222 resides in a Boyd’s pro varmint with aftermarket magazine feed,DIP.
A rebarreled 223, that is now a 22Nosler sets in an Oryx chassis.

I honestly wouldn’t be upset if I had a couple more of these slick little rascals…….

I have one in a MDT chassis, a one in the b&c stock and several in the factory plastic. They’re all good and serviceable, even the plastic factory. Stocky’s now has a carbon fiber stock out for the mini also.

My mini is in an Oryx chassis. My only negative is the cheek riser is a little high for me even on the lowest setting. Other than that is a great stock for the money. Very solid!!
