Stock RE-Finishing?

Ok,

I bought a stock that has a tongue oil finish on it......I think,need to verify.

There are some blems as well as a couple of runs and a few dry areas,but the wood is very nice.

I like the color of the stock as is,i was told there was NO stain applied to this stock.

My question is,can I have this stock sanded and re-finished with the same oil then have it auto cleared??????

Can you recommend someone to do the work,preferrably someone that has done work for you and the experience was a positive one.

I've never known tongue oil to cause a run....
Sand it all down to bare wood and clear coat it, no need for the oil to be applied.....
