So a while back I asked around for info on installing a rail in the fore-end of my HS precision stock for a hand stop. I will also be installing an adjustable buttplate. Alas I have no idea where one purchases one for a reasonable price. I have seen the buttplate assemblies for sale but they would always ask 350-600 from the only 3 that I have ever seen at local shows. Where can I get a rail to install in the forearm and an adjustable butplate assembly. I can do the fitting/inletting and triming on the rail easy enough with hand tools so over sized will work. The buttplate might be a little more interesting.

Thanks for the info. In the but-stock I am looking for something that can give me cast off and angle the rifle but into my shoulder my cheek-piece is perfect right now and I wouldn't touch it for anything. duct tape works amazing things at the last second. also on the rail would steal be better for rigidity or can aluminum work for this application.

There are 2 at sinclairs for the ar-15 which could be adapted pretty easy to any rifle.

Bingo thanks I have been searching for adjustable buttstocks this whole time. Now that I am looking for adjustable buttplates I am getting a bunch more results in my price range. This is going to be a fun project for sure now.

I hope it helped and I think champions has similar type's of ad on fully adjustable ones as well. Sinclairs has their own as well as the david tubb butt plate assy,now that is perfect on page 230 in sinclairs new catalog.I bought an accuracy speaks for my ar-15 and I like it alot.

Have any of you owned McGee products. There buttplates look to be exactly what I am looking for and they have the rail as well. The price is right now I just need ot research this exact model buttplate.
