Hey guys I'm working on a project that almost complete. I have a RBLP savage target action with an obermeyer 5r 8.75 barrel chambered for 284 win. Throated for 180s. It's an m24 contour with a holland muzzle brake. I was going to do a mcmillan stock but I just can't bring myself to spend that much money on a stock. Has anybody tried using a standard 4.4 stock with blind mag and just used these with 2 screws? If so did it affect accuracy at all?
I know this is the wrong thread for this but I'm always open to trades. I really like this setup and wouldn't mind keeping it but I also like getting new stuff. The barrel on this is installed without the nut like a remmy and the barrel and brake have a beadblasted snakeskin finish.
