Stock for BAT EX 2.0

Looking for suggestions from the group on stock makers that offer stocks to fit my 50 BMG project with a BAT EX 2". McMillan used to offer a stock called the Big Mac that I like, but after reaching out to them the only one they currently offer is the Beast 2, which isn't really my cup of tea. Also not looking for a chassis style stock. Appreciate any suggestions from all the folks here who know way more than I do, thank you!

Are you looking for a fiberglass stock? Laminate ? I saw you said no chassis style, what about the newer style like the woox hybrid type things?

Fiberglass or laminate would be ok with me. The hybrid stock you mention is something I'm not familiar with, so I'll have to do some googling on that one.

Are you planing on building or buying the stock? Richards microfit will sell a laminate blank. Gun broker may be a good place to watch for used stocks.

I just want to buy a stock that is made for the application. I understand some inletting and bedding will be required, but I don't want or have time for building one. I'm not sure if Richard's would even have one large enough for this rifle, but maybe they do.

I have the Big Mac and 2 Beasts. The main difference between them is the width of the forend. You’re not missing out on the Big Mac because it is the smaller, narrower stock overall. I use it for a .375 Cheytac and I would not pick it for the much much bigger 50.

You want a beefy stock on the big 50 in my opinion. It’s double everything across the board that the .408 Cheytac is. I run 2 inch Bat L single shots in all of those. I have a 2-1/2” EX for .50 in their heavy Benchrest stock, with a 5 inch wide flat forend. The Beast stocks are the real deal.

Appreciate the feedback on the Beast. I guess my concern is that looking at the pic they have on their website it looks like a super cheesy adjustable cheekpiece on there that I didn't care for. Maybe it is better in reality than the website makes it look.

I think you’d like it on examination. It’s up to their high production standards of quality. No looseness, tinniness or rattles. I wish I had ordered a cheek rest on the Big Mac. But that was custom stock number 1, and I was conservative on checking boxes. They are miles ahead of the strap on after market cheek piece that I use on it.

I should add, each kind of Beast they made. Equally good.

I have a laminate copy of a BR50 stock. I bought it for a 2"MB and it's inlet for an L I believe, I need to measure. The plan I had isn't going to work for it so I would let it go. Let me know if you'd be interested and I'll send some pics and measure for sure. It is for a 2" action though.
