Stiller Auction Results

AUCTION RESULTS: S. Tooke of Louisiana was the high bidder for the Stiller Viper/Cobra Action Auction. He bid $900.00. Thank you to all who participated. Net proceeds from the auction will be used to acquire materials for product testing.

FYI we received five total bids over $800.00.

Talked to Mr. Stiller today. One of the requests I have, and not sure if it will work out. Is for serial number 200. Reason is my rimfire BR is #200 also.

Now don't start booing. Trying to balance what I may need for the future.I did ask Mr. Stiller if the BR drop port would cause any problems for the PPC case. If not I aked for these features.
Bolt Face: PPC
Drop Port: 6 BR
Action: Viper
Finish: Silver/Grey
Configuration: Right Bolt/ Left Port
Rings: 1"

Figure I can always turn down the rims on BR case to work for the bolt.

Not sure when I'll have it all put together. Between the 6BR on the Predator and this Viper. I'm looking forward to having a long and happy dealings with SPF.

Merry Christmas and thank you.

Somehow I did not know that there was an auction for an action. I am on this site daily, oh well.

That was very nice of Jerry to donate an action.
My friends that shoot Vipers would not shoot anything else.

Chuck

Chuck, it was listed in the blog. And there was a big notice right at the top of the home page for two solid weeks. Here were the details: http://www.6mmbr.com/auctionstiller.html

How about a raffle instead of an auction. Say $25 a ticket for an action and $10 for a barrel, stock, etc. I imagine that a raffle may raise more money. I would imagine that there are more people out there who have $25 or so laying around.

If someone chose to use Pay-Pal or such to buy tickets. Then tack on 3% to the total.

Just an idea.

Raffles involve two thorny issues. The first is to avoid running afoul of legal restrictions on gambling, yeah I know other sites do it--but I'd like to see if they researched the issue first).

Second, if the participation rate is low,few tickets sold), then the overall results don't justify the time and effort to set it up. I'll talk with some other webmasters and see what they have to say.

I think it's a good idea if the issues can be resolved.
