Stiller action & 6.5x47L

Hate to make another thread about this cartridge, but before I have a barrel made, I wanted to know if a Stiller action would need to have the firing pin hole bushed to run the higher pressures. If so, who makes an action that doesn't require this? Thanks!

No need to bush the pin.
Get one and chamber your barrel and go shoot.

I run my Tac 30 with 28 inch 5R Bartlien HV with enough H4350 for over 3,000 fps and it shoots very well,,some cases with near 20 loadings and not lost any yet ,,

130 VLD,,,,had it throated for 140s and it shoots them well on the low node but not too good on the fast 2800+ node,,it shoots the 130 VLD really well loaded to 2.840 OAL .015 jump with 42 grs H4350,,,,if your freebore is short this will be hot so work up,,but with the lot of H4350 I have and bullets seated out of the boiler I never got pressure signs and primer pockets are tight after 10+ load cycles,,


vertical at 600 and 800 is crazy flat,,keep up with wind shifts and it shoots lights out,,.550 BC at 3,000 is a pretty strong load from such a small package,,

My Stiller action and 6.5x47L work great together. No issues. I asked my smith to look it over when building and see if it needed bushing, he said it was good to go.

I am on my third barrel in 6.5x47L on my early production stiller predator and I have never had a pierced primer.
