Still Waiting After a year

Seems the Gun Industry has really taken off after our current Pres took office. We have witnessed a mass grab everything powder and primer wise and anything that is ( typecast) as an Assalt rifle. Seems our Barrel makers have been busy busy busy. I put an order in last June while I was over seas in preperation for a gun Build in Feb when I returned home. Well Im still waiting. Some of the hold up is that I ordered 4 Barrels of three difrent Calibers, Two 6mm, one 6.5mm and one 7mm Which was actually completed around Feb March. The one I could actually do without. Closing in on 13 month wait time for a barrel is getting a little long.
Guess you have to be a Nationaly Ranked or Multiple National Record holder to get a barrel within a year.... OH wait that doesnt work either.
So Do I cancel or just wait it out?

I don't think i would be waiting much longer, their are to many good barrel makers out their. What barrels are you waiting on?

It is alright to tell the name as you have been a gentleman about it. Maybe someone dropped the ball and they havent got you in the list of barrels to be made. Who's reciever are you hanging the barrels on.

If its a Bartlein, Ive been waiting for longer than you.
I get my own custom taper Liljas and Broughtons in Australia in 3 months, True-Flites in 3 weeks.

I was going to put it on the well Thought out BigHorn Arms action. 7mm is to replace a Sendero 7mmRM down the road. 6.5 goes on a Stiller Predator Long action 6.5X284. Been shooting alot of Palma this spring So all else has been pushed aside for the summer thankfully.

Last I heard IN JUNE 2010 wait times where 7 Months. not double that. I cant say anything bad about the barrels Quality, as 14 National Records kinda proves they shoot well and have in several calibers for me. So in the end I hope the quality does not drop off when they are that busy.

Guess I had to get that off my chest. Thank you for letting vent.

After waiting 4 years for 2 BO :-X barrels, I bought from Hart's.

Truing & Rebarrel took 2 1/2 months.

Pleased as punch !

Mine took right at one year and while the wait always sucks this new barrel is shooting lights out.

Ordered a new Krieger last September, It came last month. Another member of this site told me on the phone you can get a Brux in about a month or so..

Like Danny said, call Bruno's. They have a huge inventory of Krieger, Hart and Shilen barrels. Chances are good that they will have what you need.

Yep Bartlein barrels are in deed good barrels but they have nothing on Krieger or any of the other major brands. I have shot them all and i like them all. I shoot what i can get most of the time. Lee

I ordered 4 barrels in July 2009. I took delivery of these in May 2011. Now, to be fair, that also included export documentation and transport to Australia. But I still think I have most of you beat on waiting stories.

I ordered a custom gun(22mag) from volquartsen customs all i wanted different was 20" barrel instead of an 18", 3 different employees quoted me 4 months.
I waited for 16 months then they said i was impatient, so i fired off a letter to BBB and my order was instantly canceled without notifying me.
