Sticky Bolt

Ok guys I have a question for all you gumsmiths out there. Sticky bolt when extracting a fired case. After firing a round when I lift the bolt the last 1/4 inch or so is a little stiff. I know this could be a sign of pressure but have been told it could also be caused by not bumping the case shoulder enough when resizing. I'm shooting a 6BRX in a Rem S/A with a Krieger 30" 1/8 twist. Cases are Lapua with Rem 7 1/2 primers. First time fired since fireformed. Any ideas?

Sounds like it's "clicking" at the top of the bolt lift? That's what Boyd is getting at too. It's usually as simple as using a sizing die that works the web of the case enough. Sometime requires a small base die, but a properly fitted FL sizing die will make life much easier. "Clicking" has nothing to do with shoulder bump back.

Thanks guy's
Boyd, I'm using Redding 6BR dies. I know they willnot work the base of the case since the shoulder has been blown forward. Tightneck, your right on about the "clicking" What do you guys think about using a SB 308 die to size the base of the case only?

Thanks
Jim
