Stickey bolt .280AI Kimber

Trying to help a friend with a stickey bolt issue in a new Kimber MT. Acsent .280 ai. He loaded up my recipe thats not hot, couple grains under max book. We shot them and had a bolt lift issue, primers were not terribly flat, no craters, no gas leakage to notice. Bolt face had no extractor marks ,no smiley face. Case length good as well as headspace. Shot loads that I made that were a bit hotter with no issues? What I'm thinking it has to be in his die.He is using Redding comp FL dies. Maybe he needs to get a SB die? Whats your thoughts? I did mic the cases fired against the resized ones and there was clearance by a couple thousand.

Were the cases shot previously in the Kimber? If it's a new rifle, probably not. The previous chamber could be bigger and the brass doesn't have enough springback after firing to loosen up in the Kimber. Using a small base die could fix that.
