The only problem with your numbers is that the ammo you are putting together for 20 cents a round can be purchased for half that. Your component list is such that you’re not likely to improve the quality of the ammunition so why bother? Why such expensive primers? How many uses are you projecting for the brass? I buy components mostly from MiWall in CA as they usually have the best prices and have been excellent service so far. For range practice I'd go with
Berry's 147gr round nose $132.99 / 1k
MagTech SPP $34.95 / 1k MiWall
Winchester W231 powder $33.95 / 1LB good for 2k rounds
Starline brass $139.50 / 1k Creedmoor Sports
That totals $185 / 1k rounds plus brass. I'd expect at least 8 loadings per case but some will almost inevitably be lost so using 7 that's $20 / 1k for $205 / 1k range rounds. And I just realized you're talking about 10mm and I'm looking at 9mm. Soooo, I'd put together my 9mm practice ammo for 20.5 cents per round.
Moving on to 10mm
Berry's 155gr. round nose $168.99 / 1k
Winchester LPP $49.50 / 1k MiWall
Winchester W231 powder $33.95 / 1LB good for 1k rounds at 7.0gr charge
Nosler brass $169 / 1k Raven Rocks Precision
That's $253 / 1k plus brass. I have no clue but I'd think at least 6 loadings per case so using 5 for some losses that's $34 for $287 / 1k or 28.7 cents per round.
XTP 155gr $239.90 / 1k Outdoor Limited free shipping
You'll likely want hotter than W231 runs so
Hodgdon Longshot $34 / 1LB good for 744 rounds makes it $45.70 / 1k
That's $370 / 1k or 37 cents per round for the hotter XTP
29 cents vs 58 cents and 37 cents vs 116 cents for your two uses. I didn't add in hazmat fees or tax as some tax and some don't and you might catch a no hazmat fee special. Add some shipping on parts of it but still a good savings.
Honestly, starting out it’s a bad idea to buy crap components. You won’t be able to tell if it’s the components or the assembly causing the dinner plate groups at 10 yards.
If you’re reloading to save money on 9mm, 223 “blasting ammo”, you’re borderline delusional. If nothing else shop the type of brass used on live ammo that can be bought for 20 cents a round in case volume, shoot it up and your brass is basically free.
Just a different opinion
