Starting over with 6x284

Today shooting in Hot NV desert . Starting load of 49grs of Re#22 behind Hornady 105 HPBT seating 20/1000 off the lands produced 3200 FPS 51.5 grs of Re#22 same bullet produced 3375 average velocity, and starting getting shinny ejector mark,so not wanting to ruin any new Lapua brass I stopped. All loads produced very poor accuracy. Now I'm thinking either start Burning Re#25 same bullet but also seating closer to lands or trying Berger 105 Hybrids and seating them also closer to lands with Re#25 . 30" Brux bbl 8" twist . If 51.5grs of Re#22 was a max charge what would be a starting load with Re#25 ?

I suspect you're relying on the wrong powder. Neither of those are designed for the rifle you're shooting.

I looked at chambering a 6X.284 and QL actually shows RL25 doing a very efficient job in a 28" tube. I actually decided against it as I am trying to work up something in a 52-55K pressure range with high velocity using H1000. The .22-.284 with an 80 gr. A-Max has promise at 3500 fps but I have not pulled the trigger(pun intended) yet. Of course this is all predicted using QL.

I use R-25 for my big 6mm ,( its great ), ... tried R33 too much pressure with more powder not very good at all

Well I tried the Re#25 tonight. 105 Hybrids seated right into lands ,started with 50grs ,51gr and then 51.5 and they shot well considering conditions,Heavy winds and off sand bag on top of ply wood across my truck bed. Didn't have time to set up Chronograph. Main thing was zero pressure signs.
