With my Straight 284 and RL-17 I get 2925 fps with single digit SD. I have shot it at 20 degrees and at 98 degrees and have not had to adjust my load. It performs well to 1800 yards.

Larger groups,
I was super frustrated with it an ended up turning 5 cases of each group. .003, .004,.005,.0055,.006,.007 clearance and shot each group 3 times. Each time 5, 5.5, and 6 were good

I’m at .003 now with a new batch of brass and get some weird results some times. I’ll try a little more a see what happens.

At 54 gr I was getting tight bolt lift, the SD went up, and group size opened up

Shehane has a straighter side to grip the chamber better and relieve the load on the rebated head. Too much load on the 308 head is a problem.
