Are you planning on using automotive paint and similar texture or going a difirrent route

Rust-oleum enamel with Dupli color Acrylic lacquer clearcoat gloss on just the butt of the stock then add silicone rifle stock tape. Then spray on bedliner on the grip area.

Thanks js for the inspiration, now I have to go do my sons rifle already have the adjustable butt plate, just need to figure out the lower portion of the stock

nice set up, how did the stock track for you.
the video says wolf small rifle primers I take it you are using lapua brass.
where is that range at 300 yards

It tracks great now it stays on target and no more bouncing around. Yes I am using Lapua .308 Palma brass. the range is South Bay Rod and Gun Club at Dulzura Ca that is east of San Diego CA. Max range is 300 yards and I have a 300 yard Reduce Palma match this Saturday.
