Starting F-TR build

are you saying that changing the firing pin spring made that big
a difference in your zero ? If so , I'd go back to a Remington spring ..

all the David Tubs do was change the harmonics in the barrel and change my aim point and the bolt shroud does not bounce around when you pull the trigger.

Had to change the look of my rifle. At a recent match there were three other rifle's with a Bell & Carlson Tactical Medalist Style 5 stocks in brown and black web color. Paint my just brown with clear coat and some flat black on the forend and truck bed liner on the grip.

How do you like that scope? I have one on my new 600/1000 lg that I just received with stock broken during shipping. Have to send back for new stock. Can not wait to shoot rifle and the new scope. Mine has DDR ret. Looks like your new rifle shoots well, good luck with it. The way my luck is going with my new build I may die of old age or an anxiety attack before I get to shoot it .

more than a little jealous here

reading what you've done or had done so far it seems like this rifle has the potential to shoot bugholes for you

congratulations

I could not get out to my 300 yard range raining which we need but I went in doors and did some fine tuning on loads I had be using 43.5 gn of IMR 4320 today I found out by dropping just .1 gn to 43.4 I shoot my tightest three shoot group yet.

If .1 gr makes that big of a difference, you must not be in the middle of a node. Do a detailed load work up to find your node and load to the middle of the node.

Know your node!

Erik I shot 3 round groups at 100 yards from 42gn to 44.5gn in .5gn steeps. The 43gn and 43.5 was the tightest group then I went 43gn to 43.6 at .1gn steeps the 43.3, 43.4, 43.5 all the bullet holes were touching jut the 43.4 was the tightest. I will try 5 shoot groups at 300 yards with 43gn to 44gn in .2gn steeps and see how that works. Thanks for the advice.

Shehane Tracker II in African Obeche.
Man that is impressive accuracy you're getting.

Going to fill in the back of my B&C stock so it fits my rear bag better getting the auto bondo and fiberglass out.

How are you planning to mod the stock to get it to ride better. I have a similar stock and have the same issue.

First I am going to add one more stud to it and add a plastic rod to fill space then add fiber glass and bondo then hand shape it I will take photos. I all will try kydex heat it up and pay with molding it to fit.

Looks like I am having a follow shooting doing it. He owns a auto restore shop. He will be adding two more studs so he gas add bolts for the bondo\fiberglass to grab on too. He will add dams on the side of the stock and add the bondo the sand shape it. I should have it back in about two weeks.

;D I got my stock back early now I have some sanding, repainting and buffing to do.
