Standard Rem clone X integral picatinny rail

Hi guys.

I posted this question on another forum, but seems noboby want tell what they know or think. ???

Dont think this is a not ethical question,so here it goes. I aint asking this to begin a war, but because I never saw one with integral rail and just some BR action Remington clones.

"There is any real advantage using action with integral picatinny rail versus any Remington clone(both BR quality) in regards to increased accuracy due to stiffness? I believe that the integral rail has advantage, at least in theory, but anyone has real world experience to share?"
Just curious to know...

With the rail you have more choices where to place the scope for eye relief. Some scopes are alittle fussy on eye relief. The rail makes it easier but alittle harder to load rounds one at a time.Basically it bridges the top of the reciever probably aiding in stiffing it a bit.I use them quite often.

liseo, John Pierce has the MI Multi-Flat Competition Action with the built in integral rail, all I can say is that it does look very very solid, Stiller and Stolle are others that come to mind with a built in rail. Having the rail as an integral part of the action can only be a benefit, although I doubt how much of an added benefit it is over a rail correctly attched to an action. Its a very interesting question that I am sure some of the Action builders themselves could better answer.

The integral rail is "cool" but on some BR actions made by reputable actions makers, we dont see the integral rail. I believe that if some improvements were achieved with this set up, they all will be using. But, on the other side, they dont have the magazine cut out. . My doubt is about the Rem clones with magazine versus Rem clone with magazine and integral rail. As I said before, I never saw one, but certainly would like to have one... ;D

Thanks

The Surgeon 591 is the action you are asking for: integral rail and recoil lug. I like the idea because you have one less thing(rail) to come loose on you. However, if stiffness is the goal, then get an action with a target port: this greatly stiffens the action. Then permanently bed the rail with JB Weld. That's what I do: use a Defiance Machine action.
