Re: Benchrest Rifle Club F-Class Mid-Range match May 7th

This is as good as it gets with a bench Fclass for the people that can't go to the ground due to back, neck or whatever reasons. With some tough bench guys mixed in the class it gets pretty interesting to see who does the best (ground or bench) . Anyhow , it's a nice laid back match that is diverse and beginner friendly. Try to make a monthly Thursday match to see why so many come out for this. It's what shooting is supposed to be like. Fun and competitive !

Re: St. Louis F-Class Mid-Range match May 7th

Just loaded the winning ammo, lol. That Joe and Brett are making life difficult for me lately. The weather man is gonna let us shoot dry this time with 3 days of rain following well after the match he says. Pete says he's going to try to get here so let's all pressure him back to the firing line. Lol. See you there!

Mike I loaded that ammo yesterday

Re: St. Louis F-Class Mid-Range match May 7th

Dannie Wake, what are they going to do with you son. You shot yet another gun, different bullets, different seating depth and different load. Results -- just WIN babby! You TEST during matches!!! No fear at all. Just march on.

You take your craft and shooting package seriously, but I don't know of anyone who has more fun at it than you. Even when the results are not up to your liking, your take away goes to your knowledge, back at the shop, adjust and test -- and here you come again -- WINNING. You are shooting with a great bunch of like-minded competitors. Guess What? All of you are going to get better -- because you have to to WIN!

Most Champions remain pretty humble in victory because they KNOW it can change the next match. But friends of Champions don't have to be humble. I am proud of you and all your competitors who are pushing each other. Having said that, it was your time to be a Champion -- AGAIN!!! I think you may have won by one X. That is the difference with a great shooting package. Shooting perfection is a combination of tremendous trifles.

Congrats to all the shooters and to my friend Dannie Wake,

Nice post Mr Hardy, but we haven't shot yet. Lol. The match is this Thursday. I'm sure Danny will do very well as he usually does.

Re: St. Louis F-Class Mid-Range match May 7th

Thanks for the heads up Mike. Well old Dannie won somewhere by 1 X. You boys up that way sure shoot a lot of matches with great competition between everyone. Clearly the thred says May 7, so a Senior moment for sure. If you know the correct match location, give me a heads up again.

Thanks again,
Jim

The correct match was Big Piney, if that is the correct spelling. Good luck to everyone at the upcoming match on the 7th.

Re: St. Louis F-Class Mid-Range match May 7th

Thanks for posting the results of Big Piney. Heck I did get the results correct and the State of MO. I have never seen so many matches as promoted in the State of Missouri. You get a lot of great competitors with so many opportunities to hone their craft. I am sure the 7th will be no different.

If old Dannie wins on the 7th, that would be a real hoot. What a pre-match forecast that would be. I hope everyone has a great match and pushes each other to be the best they can be. That is what it is all about -- having fun.

I will continue to "crow" about Dannie and the rest of the shooters in this region because I think they have something very good going on. Lots of interest, friendly trash talk and spirited competition. More shooting venues should pay attention to what is going on in Missouri. Although I don't know your name, I wish you the best if you shoot on the 7th.

Congrats in advance to all that shoot this match and to the Champion who will have to work for the victory.

Well your right. Missouri is a hot bed for the shooting sports. It is great competition and a lot of trash talking goes on. They will have a big turn out at the STL match. Good luck guys!

Oh and don't worry about me. I am just a no name shooter who loves the competition!

Looks like we have a good match coming tomorrow!! Always good to have our Big Piney friends bring us a few dollars. Lol I just talked to Don Rabun and he's on his way here with dollar in hand.

Looking forward to seeing everyone on the line tomorrow. Should be a good one!

Re: St. Louis F-Class Mid-Range match May 7th

Wow, that was a tough tailwind today! We saw a lot of 8's flying out both sides , lol I only had 1-X in my first string trying to hang on to the 10 ring with a 22br, Lol Everyone had a great time and Brett and Bobbie ran a very smooth match. Paul Sirracusa ran away with a solid victory in FTR and the highest score shot for the day!! Congrats Paul !! Don Steelman took the bench class with superb patients during some tough relays.

I would like to thank everyone who came out today for the match. The conditions proved to be very tricky and challenged everyone. All in all it was a great day for a match, we managed to escape any rain.

June 4th be our next match.

Have a great weekend.

Brett

Mike, congratulations on your nice win! Great shooting man!!

Lol, thanks Ben but I got whipped by a FTR shooter today. Paul's our man when it comes to FTR , we are very proud of him.

This is a great match Ben , a beginner friendly atmosphere with competition for the advanced shooters. Brett took the new shooters to the side and gave them a quick class on scoring targets before the match and all went very well today. It's a shoot what you "have" type match for getting people started in Fclass.
