The weather is finally fit for humans to be out in it and the rock chucks are on the move. This one and a few of his buddies were out in the southern end of the Tobacco Root range. Big fun with the gophers too.

Here in Utah…always a mixed bag

First of the week we had some very beneficial rain/snow

Finally turned out sunny and 64*

Just picked about 2# of wild asparagus

Added some with the chicken Alfredo dinner tonight

I hunted Lopes for about 3 days in Buffalo WY, how far are you from there? I loved it up there wish I could have stayed, well maybe until it got real cold.

Here in SW MT the time between the end of winter and the start of spring is often as short as a few days. But don't count on the warming trend to last. After recently experiencing a brief 10-day hiatus to Cody, WY where the temps also varied between the mid 30s one day and the mid 60s the next, one never truly counts on consistently warm days until we are often into June. But the warming trend does stimulate a few furry creatures to peek their heads out...

In my almost 35 years the only month I haven't seen it snow on the ground is July.

Where my wife's family is from (Scobey, MT) they tell me it only snows on days that end in "Y".
