Weather man said 1 mph....he lies. More like 5 and switching. But I was at the range so I put out wind flags for first 50 yard attempt with .177 TX200. Shot back to back 3 shot groups managing with patience to get the flags the same for six shots. Both groups 9/16. I was pretty happy but gave up as wind was getting worse. From 25 yard zero it took 4.5 moa to 50 yards. 815 fps with 8.44 grain pellet, .451 headsize.

I am thinking the bench manners required with the springer might transfer to the centerfire and rimfire. I am a picker so using wind flags is familiar and an interesting challenge with that little pellet floating around in the breeze. So best part, no cleaning and no reloading needed on the airgun. I was checking my 6BRXs tune at 200 yds and it's on the cleaning bench and there are cases to clean and anneal. Air rifle had a lot of plusses going for it.

Three things I love in a rifle, classic design, simplicity and accuracy. These Feinwerkbau 300S have all three! They provide a lot of fun shooting ten meters indoor during the long winter months. Incredible accuracy! Thanks to Bro Joe who insisted I buy the first one and then I ended up buying a second one and refinishing the stock. ( the highly figured one in front) Like Jeff said no reloading or cleaning …..heck that just may be the fourth and fifth things I love in a rifle!!

High Noon

I was getting ready to say, but high noon and others beat me to it.
My 300s are by far the funnest rifles I have to shoot, very accurate!!
I’ve always said every shooter needs a springer or pellet rifle to shoot, so much fun!!

Old post I know but for those of you with the 300s and scopes what are you using for rings/mounts to fit in the grooved dove tail on the feinwerkbau?

Every air rifle I have seen (I own 15) has 11 mm dovetails. You can use direct mount rings or a 11 mm dove tail rail. If the rifle is a springer you will want rings or rail with a stop pin.
My favorite is a 11 mm dove tail picatinny base and a set of Burris rings with inserts. I use the inserts to optically center my scope at 25 yards.

I was thinking of something with a cross pin instead of a vertical stop pin so as not to mar the dovetail on a feinwerkbau at least. The feinwerkbau would be 11mm dovetails but has slot for a cross pin/ cross bolt not a vertical pin like most mounts I see. Would be nice to have some extra cant for scope elevation too for dialing.
