Spring back

I see it the most with 223/556 range brass use. I mainly pickup once fired from semi-auto classes. To avoid long term storage issues with resized brass/ammo in my AR's, I have went to 0.001-0.0015 under the low step on my ammo checker for sizing and a light tapered crimp. I do allow the brass to size for 5-10 seconds. Sized brass can sit(up to year so far since sizing) and still load/chamber fine. And I use this for prairie dogs with accuracy. I also was wanting shtf ammo storage confidence from reloads.

How long does it take for brass to spring back as much as it's going to?

Every now and then, I get a round that's tight to chamber. Not many but it makes me wonder why. I've checked seating depth on suspect round, but it's always spot on. Same with neck size.

I'm going to try sizing 50 rds, wait a day, then size again. It might sound dumb, but I have the time so why not.
A couple of matches ago, I had just switched to a Harrells die from a Wilson die and for me, the Harrells bump gauge said -0.0015"to -0.0020" from fired, but my shoulder gauge was bouncing between 0.0000" and -0.0005". I got to the 2nd relay and had one chamber real hard, like beyond jambed bullet hard. So I pulled the round and stuck it nose first in the ammo box and grabbed another round not wanting to risk the score. I fired that odd round as the first sighter on the 3rd relay and it went dead center X - go figure.
