This is the info I was looking for,do you think the mk4,would be better than the vortex razor?Probably have to go with a Leupold Mark 4 Spotting scope if you want good glass, decent magnification, AND an milling reticle.
I think you can get the Mark 4 in 12-40x60mm or 20-60x80mm. Straight eyepieces. Not sure of there are any tactical spotters with angled eyepieces...
Bushnell Elite makes some spotters with reticles too. But that's about your limit if you want a reticle with good glass

Falcon menace cost about twice as much as a scope made in China called "Famous Maker" that is built with the same parts for around $150.Looking for a spotting scope and don't have a clue about them,so let me hear the good on what you folks have.I don't mind spending $1500-2000 for one.I will be using it for f/tr,practice and will get a mill reticle for my other shooting hobby thanks.
I hated the angled eyepices. The straight ones are much more ergonomic unless you mount it lower than the shooting position or have to stand up or croon over to look. YMMV
Will be prone, and sitting, standing positions. No bench shooting for me I'm still young . Thanks leadslinger will be going with the razor.Off a bench, not prone. Yeah I probably don't know what I'm doing. Op didn't mention shooting prone. YMMV
Prone , off the bench , and any other situation the angled when used by someone who knows how to set it up and operate it is much more ergonomic. When on the bench the spotter is to my left and all I do is turn my head about 45* and move my neck forward a couple of inches. My shoulder never leaves the rifle. To use a straight scope you must come from behind the rifle and line yourself up with the target from behind the scope.Off a bench, not prone. Yeah I probably don't know what I'm doing. Op didn't mention shooting prone. YMMV
KOWA with a long eye relief eye piece. An older TSN1 KOWA can be a good find and the newer models are superb scopes.

Then you don't have the right tripod or 'know-how' to us an angled scope from the prone position.
I just picked up one of the angled Meopta's and am trying to decide on a tripod. What would you recommend?
I bought one from Tacticaltripod,it is 100% US made and he's a hell of a supporter of or deployed folks.I just picked up one of the angled Meopta's and am trying to decide on a tripod. What would you recommend?
