spotting scopes with reticles

I've been running a Mk 4 spotting scope with a Mil Dot reticle for few years now and I'm looking to upgrade it. It's a nice spotter but I just feel like I need to move up to HD glass. The problem that I have is that I'd like to still have a reticle for making corrections when shooting. The only other spotter I've found that offers a reticle is the Vortex Razor HD with the 30x eyepiece. I've had a few people tell me that the Razor won't offer an improvement over the Mk 4. I can't seem to get my hands on one to take out in the field to compare the two side by side though.

Has anyone actually had a chance to compare the Mk 4 spotter side by side with a Razor? Or is there another option that I haven't thought of yet? I've heard that some eye pieces can be mixed across brands. If that's the case, could the 30x Vortex eye piece be used on something along the lines of a Swaro body?

I have the luepold gold ring 12-40 HD and my friend has the Razor and yes the Razor is much better glass. I've often considered upgrading to the Razor but mostly shoot steel and the GR works fine for that. One of the reasons I bought the GR was the generous eye relief and still appreciate that. The cool thing about the Razor is the ability to change eyepieces.
I've recently started shooting some F class and would also like the angled eyepiece.

I have a Razor and for the money none compare, but the Zeiss Spotter 60(5000 dollars) and the new Swarovski with illuminated reticle eye piece(again 5000 bucks) are the best glass on the planet IMHO, the Swarovski is slightly better then the Zeiss, but the Zeiss is built like a tank, the Razor at 1599 plus 235 for the eyepiece is what I spent my money on, if the eye piece was 15-45 FFP it would be the perfect spotter for my kind of shooting
