Spotting scopes for 6mm @ 6ooyds

Can anyone suggest a medium priced spotting scope for small holes at 500 & 600 yds. I most likely will never shoot beyond that range, but I do like to see clearly where I hit. Thanks for the help

Go down to the "Scopes, optics, and rings" forum, and browse the last month or two - there have been a bunch of threads exactly like you are asking, and I doubt all the posters will want to do it again.

I think the rub here is the " medium priced " criteria .

6mm bullet holes at that distance will, for the most part, require some more dollars than medium .

I have some of the higher end optics and some of the medium . The medium price range doesnt work for me unless I put them in a " bigeyes " format.

Once you do that it is no longer " medium " . Even the high end optics I have wont consistently reveal buillet holes at 600 yds. Atmospheric conditions .......we are at their mercy .

The Leica optics have been the overall best performers for me . I especially like their fine focus mechanisms .

If you dont have the dollars for the upper end of optics, then wait , save what you have until you do . You will not regret doing this and you wont have a bunch of " I hoped it would work " stuff on your shelves collecting dust .
