spotting scope

Before you lay down megbucks on a spotter, is there any particular use you are looking at? Reading conditions, needing to see bullet holes on target at distance, spying on someone of interest, etc...and at what distances? Tripod, bench mount, scope stand for prone?

I still use a Kowa TSN-1 spotting scope with a 20x60 eyepiece I bought some 30 years ago.
Great scope and you can find them used in good condition for a reasonable price.

If it's for shooting, I would strongly suggest one that has a long eye relief eyepiece available.
With glasses on and in position, the standard eyepieces have a very short eye relief. The Kowa TE-80XW has just 17mm of eye relief. Their TE-20H LER has 32mm. For me, the TE-80XW was unusable.

If you call Doug at CameraLandNY, he will take care of you. (no affiliation)
