Spotting scope stand.

Hi all,
I’m looking for recommendations for a stand. I wanted a gearbuggy but he’s gone. Can’t find a ray vin either. So, what’s a guy supposed to do? I looked at creedmoor stand, but it doesn’t seem a lot of people use them. Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks
Mike

I love my Giraud stand. I like that the legs fold up instead of down, and you only have to touch each leg one time to fold/unfold them. Unfolding the legs is super quick as well for quick setup. Doug Giraud is great to work with as well.

Thanks I was trying to find that info to pass on. I ordered an extension 3 days before SWN and fast service got it in time.

On a side note, I've owned most of them (Ray-Vin, GearBuggy, Giraud, Creedmoor Polecat). Giraud was nice but I was always frustrated by the scope head, same with GearBuggy. Neither seemed natural for how I wanted them to sit or adjust while on the line. Gearbuggy was also MASSIVELY heavy, which was great in heavy wind but it was a beast and the pole was 1.25" instead of the more common 1" so you were stuck with his system 100%. With the others you can swap between components which some people will do to build their ideal system. Creedmoor Polecat is a really good system as is the Ray-Vin (Hi-Tec now). Either of those would personally be my choice if I had to do it again. I've had the Ray-Vin for a long time and still love it and for me it gets the edge of what to buy. It's hard to explain until you actually spend time behind a spotting scope and have to made funny little adjustments as to why it's just so good. So just for me it goes like this
Hi-Tec
Polecat
Giarud
Gear Buggy (yes I know it's not being made but you see used ones sale so it's still a viable option for people)

There's others on the market and other ways to use regular tripods that work but from a brief overview, there you go.

HIC-TEC makes the RAY-VIN head to fit the GEAR BUGGY size pole now I believe. I love my
GearBuggy.
