It would take a heck of a lot more than this for me to ever want to use ETs for competition.Almost makes a case for electronic targets.

I believe it went through the target. It hit the spindle and canted. Probably hit the berm sideways at 800 fps and bounced back, because it was neither on course for the “rabbit hole” nor point first to penetrate. The nose was slightly deformed as striking the spindle would do.I wonder if the bullet actually did go all the way through the target but since it likely became unstable and hit the berm sideways, it might have bounced back? Reason I say this is when I was pulling targets recently, a bullet hit the spotter and blew a big chunk in the target but bounced back a second or two later to within a few feet of where I was standing. I didn't go forwards of the target to pick it up, but took it back after shooting finished.
Thanks Chris, We were told Thomas had his RSAUM with him, but that doesn't mean he was shooting it, I suppose. Plastic spindle, for sure. Mine was hot glued to the disc, but can't say if the one struck was or not.
