Speedy Gonzalez Contact?

Well, maybe someone showed him this thread, but he texted me that the rifle will be ready for pickup this Sunday. I plan on driving down to meet him in person.
You're going to see why it takes time for a good product. Just the amount of work he has will delay a build. I also had a good friend that took his rifle on my recommendation, I just warned him that it will take time and patience. Built him a very nice hunting rifle. And his chambered a couple of barrels for me, but I'm already accustomed to waiting. I recommend at least chambering new barrels way ahead of time, or have 2-3 barrels if your planning on using your rifle for some time.

3 1/2 years? You could complete a bachelor's degree in that time frame. You could become a pilot. You could go to gunsmithing school, and build it yourself in that time frame.

I don't know the full story, nor will I ever, but how can someone condone a 3 1/2 F-Class rifle build. Or any rifle build for that matter. That's insanity.

I waited 28 months for a build by a well known BR smith. I dropped off all the components and cash at his business. Being in the construction trade -cash established top priority with me. Should have had a clue when guys I shot with were getting rapid turn-around from him while I was waiting.
So 42 months is beyond outrageous.

My buddy has a rifle project tied up for four years now with an excellent gunsmith who is also excellent at shitty customer relations. Screw that. He was 58. He’s now 62 and not getting any younger.

I pulled all my work and never looked back. There are too many reputable gunsmiths who care about quality work and fair delivery times to put up with that type of nonsense.

Why was I willing to wait so long? First, as I mentioned, Speedy set me up with a nice, used alternative he competed with (Farley action, Robertson stock, Fabio trigger, new barrel, etc.) at a below-market price. It performs well, and I've been content to shoot with it. I doubt if I will score any better with the new one. Second, I guess I adopted the old 'you can catch more flies with sugar' attitude. I'm sure if I had pitched a fit, I may have moved up the line some, but it just wasn't that important to me. This is just a hobby.
Thanks everyone, and I'll send a picture.

HE recently posted a MTM 100 Case on this site free to the first taker. Unless he was hacked as some warnings have said of a few users here. May Eric Cortina can reach him if you can contact him.
