Special thanks to LA50SHOOTER

I purchased some bullets through the Forum from LA50SHOOTER, the transaction went very smooth as do most from members of this Forum. The communications were timely and precise, the prices were very reasonable, the shipping was very fast then the Post Office screwed the pooch. The package arrive looking like it had been rode hard and put away wet, it was held together with about a mile of clear tape and felt lighter than it should have. I opened it to discover that only about a coffee cup worth of packing material remained and half of what I'd ordered was missing. I contacted the seller LA50SHOOTER to let him know the package had arrived and of the condition it and it's contents were in. He then generously offered to reimburse me for the loss, and made good on the offer. I can't thank him enough for this act of generosity, and would tell anyone that deals with him at the the Forum, this guy is a total class act.

It seems like that flat rate postage deal from the USPS catches them by surprise then the little medium size box starts weighing close to 30 or 35 pounds. I just received an order of bullets shipped through the USPS and the box was in remarkably good shape. It had a FRAGILE sticker on it and although bullets can hardly be considered fragile, as in breakable, it may help get the box better treatment. Another thing that was good was that the shipment of bullets was packaged in a box within the USPS flat rate box and the bullets were packed tightly in this secondary box. Bart's Bullets has no doubt figured out how to ship bullets and that's how they do it to avoid the scenario described above.

God bless America - long live the Republic!

My Postmaster tells me to avoid the fragile sticker if you can to not draw attention to the package, but who knows.

That is stellar behavior! I hope he claimed the insurance.
The post office gives away Tyvec envelopes. I grab a handful once in a while for shipping bullets. They’re strong as hell and very tear resistant. Tape your bullets in the envelope, then put them in a box and tape the box. You won’t lose any bullets!

U.S. Postal is by far the worst as for care of package handling. If a package can be tossed 10’-15’, it will be. What really pisses me off is the crass attitude of Postal workers when just for their amusement will purposely send a package on a tour of the U.S., or worse, tare the package open to steal some of the contents. With the ammo shortages, I’ve seen on gun forums were someone ordered a case of ammo like 9mm, and several box of ammo will be missing, but it’s evident that the package was torn open, then taped shut. The Postal Union is what prompts this thieving.

One more thing about the U.S. Postal service. Just learned today that the Postal Service is purposely going to slow mail delivery of all it’s mail other then First Class. This is to save money as last year it was 4.8 billion dollars in the red. Bureaucratically bloated the U.S. Postal Service is.

Fed Ex is pretty bad, took 12 days for me to get an overnight shipment of medicine, Styrofoam cooler was busted and the ice packs had long thawed. Pharmacy was PO'd Fed Ex had to eat it.

I second what you have said about Fed-Ex. - To many let downs and that's why I don't use them. I find myself using UPS more and more to ship packages. They aren't perfect but better than most of the others.
