Here’s the finished product
@NJ338 finished the cerakote and got it back to me just in time to get it cleaned up and put back together before our hog hunt.
The lovely tight fitting PTG bolt got a little tricky and I ended up putting the bolt back in the lathe and polishing the bolt body so the bolt would open and close smoothly. It actually turned out pretty cool with the cerakote being in the fluted areas.
The thread protector was something new I tried and I’m very happy with how it turned out. It disappears when it’s threaded which is difficult to do after cerakote but It’s just as clean with no lines now as it was before it was painted.
