Special Thanks to Area 419

I just wanted to send out a special thanks to Area 419. Craig, Simon, and Jon are great guys and do exceptional work. I’ve been using them exclusively for a year or so on barrel and bolt fluting and when I didn’t think they could get any better they helped me out in a pinch with a quick turn around time and a great fluting job on a bolt and barrel for me.
I pushed my luck and time on finishing a 260 AI for a TX hog hunt and was scared I wouldn’t have it back it time. They turned them around quicker than I expect and gave me plenty of time to procrastinate on putting everything together before we leave!

Ha, yeah that’s the first one I’ve had done with spiral fluting on it like that.
I seen a pic of it on there website and thought it looked like a drill bit.
I knew I had to have it!

It does kinda remind me of a long concrete bit for a hilti drill....lol. I want to see it when it’s all put together!

I just finished the thread protector and I’m getting ready to screw it on the action. I’ll send some pics as I go and a final one next week after cerakote and the last pics will hopefully be it in front of some South TX pigs

very nice .I always thought barrel twist was inside the bore ,lol . that thing will stabilize the heavies . dave

I’m sure it was pure coincidence but the twist rate outside of the barrel matches the internal twist rate from Brux. Both are 1-8” twist

I only measured @jean07 because you said you could never have it because your extreme OCD wouldn’t allow you to get it done unless the twist rate was the same inside as it is out. Your OCD is why the tape measure was brought out.

Besides shouldn’t you be teaching our next generation right now instead of playing on Accurate Shooter lol

I had area 419 install side bolt release on a pair if receivers. They are good communicators and the work is top notch.

They’ve done a lot of work for me. Several fluting jobs both bolts and barrels, side bolt release, and M-16 extractors. Always top shelf work.
