Speaking of FL dies

Just took my brand spanking new Redding FL bushing die out of the box and degreased it. Upon closer inspection there is an indentation cut into the inside of the die. It is about .005" dee and about 3/8" long. It's not supposed to be there for any reason is it?

Crummy pic. Hard to see what I'm talking about:

Dragon34,
I just bought a Redding fl bushing die from Sinclair, haven't used it yet. I carefully examined mine just now and there are no tool marks on the inside of the die. I would send it back for replacement.

That dent should not be there, it will leave a high spot on your brass. Call Redding at,607) 753-3331 and they will replace it. If they want it back, take everything off the die and send just the body of the die back. They have no use for the parts and it will cost you less for shipping.

I have sent several dies back to RCBS & Redding because they were scrached,,these were used dies that I bought). I always ask if they need the whole die or just the body. They have let me send just the body to save a little on shipping. They service is outstanding.
