Wilson FL 6mm BR dies?

I'm in the process of getting the kit together to start reloading 6mm BR Norma. Wilson list two FL die sizes:

"Our 6mm BR Match FLD’s will size to .4665 at the base

The 6mm BR Norma FLD’s will size to .4698 at the base"

I suspect the Norma die is the one I want, what's the reference to "Match", is it compatible and if so what disadvantage or advantage would there be if any?

Never heard of this reference only 6mmBR Norma or Remington?

Thanks,

Paul.

The Harrell's sizing dies are not blanks, but rather more closely matched to your actual fired brass than a standard one-size-fits-all option. You can send them a couple of fired brass or in my case, I fired a case five times that was only neck sized between firings. They will then take that case and send you their die that best fits it.

Harrells will set you up.

Wilson makes a great product as well, but the Harrells will size the die to your brass, as Terry has mentioned.

Thanks for the responses. I'm in the UK so I'll need to check they will export if thats the way I go. Sending them fired cases or getting a blank chambered by someone at this stage is not possible, I'm getting the gear together for the arrival of a new build. No fired cases yet.....

I'd like to understand the difference in the two Wilson dies regardless if anyone can answer that one?

Wilson chamber dies: You need one to seat bullets; another to neck size (not full length)cases, and an arbor press to use either of them.

Wilson is now producing a full length 7/8x14 sizing die you can thread in any toggle press.

I appreciate that, I have the Arbor press, neck and seating die.

But the questions about the two 6mm BR FL dies they list:

"Our 6mm BR Match FLD’s will size to .4665 at the base

The 6mm BR Norma FLD’s will size to .4698 at the base"

The smaller base dimension is for Remington 6BR brass. The larger dimension is for Lapua (or Norma) brass.

Excellent, Thanks. I tried to match the figures up with my reloading book case dimensions but couldn't, I thought it might be to do with the Remington case.
