Source For Screw In Mirage Tubes

Does anyone know of a vendor currently offering screw-in mirage tubes for competition scopes like NF, Vortex GE, March, Trijicon, Leupold etc? I know Garrett Coleman used to offer them, but he seems to have disappeared... doesn't respond to PM or e-mail.

Thanks!

Back in the '90's there was a similar device called the "Saunders Mirage Tube" used by some SR BR competitors for awhile until they discovered the air in the tube heated up creating of all things ........"mirage". But YMMV. I'll stick with mylar strips over the barrel.

One other issue we found with extended screw on tubes was that they could change your wind zero in challenging conditions.
Thanks for the info. After some of the feedback, I am gravitating toward trying the slat approach to directing heat/mirage from the scope's optical path.

Not certain it will help either, but it's an interesting experiment, and a relatively inexpensive diversion.
