Sonic Cleaners

So looking at sonic cleaners . Any reason not to buy this rather than one from Hornady or RCBS Etc ? This has twice the capacity . 5 times the heating wattage and three times the wattage transducer . Not to mention made of all stainless and not a bunch of plastic .

Been using one with 4 transducers higher watts and it works really well.
Noisy...but it works wonders.

AZ,

Looks like it has a drain valve to empty it, which is a nice feature. Not a big discount to the factory price. If I end up in the market for one again, I'd certainly consider it.

I have used Ultra Sonic for 15 years. I recommend the the higher wattage and transducers. The hotter you can get them will clean muzzle brakes and brass quicker.

I'm on my second cleaner. The first was an early Hornady that calved, and then I got a Lyman Turbo Sonic 6000. Worth every penny and better that the Hornady.

Not used for brass but for guns and I use the Lyman metal cleaner which, IMO, is better than the Hornady.

I have one very much like the one to which you link. Six liter capacity it is not, but it's big enough to handle 100 or so larger rifle cases at a time. The heater helps a bunch and it does a very good job cleaning. Mine has two transducers and, every once in a while, I have to run a second cycle to get things really clean but that's not a big problem for me. The drain valve is quite handy and it doesn't leak a drop.

It's worth a shot. The price is right.

I bought a cheap sonic cleaner at Harbor Freight. It works OK.
