Songs that "Stick like Glue"

I liked Janice Joplin with Big Brother and the Holding Company with "Ball and Chain" as her best song! I think Jimmy Hendricks best song was "VooDoo Child">>>which Stevie Ray Vaughn replicated and was incredible! Roy Orbison did "Pretty Woman" on a live version that lasted for about 12-15 minutes! That song done that LONG way was FAR ahead of it's time!
 
Happily admit that I was one of those radicals back in the day . Rode my "67" Triumph 650 Bonneville from Cleveland to Woodstock . Rained almost all the way , but I did not care . Had my ticket for what was supposed to be the biggest and best rock concert in history . Saw Janice , Country Joe & the Fish , Jimmy , Richie Havens , and that "new" Canadian band , The "Who" . Three months later , I'm in the Central Highlands on extended vacation in S.E. Asia with good memories . Yeah ! It was worth it .....
 
I think the whole purpose of West Pac cruises was for the sailors to stock up on stereo gear. Picked up mine early 1974. Every void space and nook and cranny on the boat was chocka block full of stereo gear. In fact, I just got off my dead butt and finally got my old setup back on line. Replaced a 15" woofer and got a new cart w/stylus for the old SR-737. Glad I did it. You can't beat the sound from a clean chunk of vinyl on decent stereo gear. In the process of getting it repaired, I was talking on the phone with a stereo repair guy. 74 years young. He encouraged me to get er done. "Ya know" he says "listening to those old albums from way back is excellent exercise for the memory" "you'll surprise yourself, you will know the opening rif, lyrics will pop into your head, etc." Try it, you'll like it.
 
How about this catchy little tune. Its found on multi unit printing machines it acts as a warning device to inform operators that the machine will be moving. Its like an acid eating through my brain that sticks with me for hours after exposure

I bought all of my stereo equipment at the Navy Exchange when my submarines were at Yokosuka, Japan. They had really decent prices.

Had season passes to Wally World about twenty minutes from our house in 1990 when kids were young, literally went every weekend and yep, It’s a Small World After All still stuck in there. Should be called “It’s a too-long ride after all.”

As for actual good memory songs, maybe Radar Love. Used to cruise around with 3 friends just blasting that song from one of the guy’s “Unsafe At Any Speed” Corvair. It's not really a favorite song, but just a good reminder of some fun times.

Circa 1972, my brother and his friend had a 2 BR apartment, because my brother put a mattress in the walk in closet that covered the entire floor of the closet. I’m sure there were some cinder blocks and 1x12s in the apartment somewhere.
