Somethings never change PT&G again

Well posting about stuff like this and who the seller is definitely helps folks know other folks experiences with them. However for those that did do the purchase and find themselves in this situation....

"does not give refunds" << that's why you use a CC from a company that will take care of you. I have one that if the seller wants to be a pita, they simply refund my charge and deal with it themselves. Obviously I need to have proof, but they aren't difficult to satisfy. I'm talking goods, not services.

Usually this is something I never got and shipping shows either never actually shipped or never delivered, but a couple times it was stuff that I got and had issues then the seller didn't want to make it right. I get that refusal to exchange or refund in writing then ask my cc vendor to deal with it. They simply view it as a bad charge or failure to perform on warranty. CC vendors are like anything else, there's good and bad, and then there's really good ones. I have a love and hate relationship with the one I'm referring to, but they always take care of bogus or failed purchases.
If I thought I needed a strategy to protect myself from a vendor, I would not purchase from that vendor.

Trouble is you don't know what you don't know. There's lots of new or new to us vendors out there each year and there's no way to know how they are until folks purchase from them. I'm not one to wait months or years for other people to learn if they are reputable or not. If they have what I want and the price is right I pull the trigger knowing if they are not reputable I'm covered.

Eddie and jxb both have very valid points. I use a cc for the very same reason, if the company does not act in good faith my cc company will step up and make it right on my end. Companies that want to charge a restocking fee for a product that literally does not exist in the real world is in very poor taste. That's where the cc company makes this as painless as possible. Then never do business with the offending company again. Sad that it has come to this with one company in particular.

CTD = cheaper than dirt.

During the pre 2016 panic. Those two places were some of the worst offenders of price gouging on 22LR, 556 ammo, and magazines... all those items that were not to be found pretty much due to hoarding. It was disgusting. I don't want to get into a big debate about it, but it was gouging in the true definition of the term not just 'what the market can bear'. They will never see a cent of my money.
Brunos jumped on that same band wagon. Gouged prices as bad as anyone.

I had thought the same thing. Back in that time, I gave bruno's a pass after I talked to my local ma and pop shop that was charging the same prices. The owner showed me his invoices for his actual cost of the stuff he was selling. He wasn't gouging. During that panic ma and pop shops had to buy stock to stay alive and they did not have the buying power to get the discounts of the big online retailers. If they had no stock for customers they would have gone under. In the case of my local store, it was the upstream distributor that was gouging. His normal distributors were all out of stock because of the hoarding.

So, given that I have had excellent customer service and a great relationship with my ma/pop store and the same with Bruno's, I decided to stick with them.

Natches, CTD, Lucky Gunner, all those online places, no free pass.

Anyway, it's your dollars. You get to vote how ever you want, but thought I would share what I learned.

Only problem with jgs is there prices. I know you get what you pay for but there is a limit there too. I guess its dave manson from now on. Jgs does make some beautiful reamers but so does manson and priced right. Last 2 item I got from ptg reamer stop on of the stops threads where cut wrong and live pilot reamer pilot was too long had to fix both myself. Get some QA

How much is a Manson vs JGS.
Last year I paid $260 for a custom JGS reamer, I thought that was reasonable
