Just think of all the "fun" that could be missed.

I have been absent from here for a couple three years but I have learned so much on here and had so much fun idk why I stopped I guess I got a new gf and we did other things beside guns but I’m back in full force!.... dusted off my rifles, swept out my loading room and I’m ready for round two

I try to help when I can, made a lot of friends on here over the years. I have got into tiffs on here but never enjoy to I like to talk gun talk, learn, teach and most of all have fun with a bunch of like minded people.

Could it be that the Remington primer is "perfectly" round and the Federal is slightly oval, and it happened that at the points you measured they were identical?

You might try a new Fed. 210m primer, since the one off the floor may have been stepped on, or otherwise damaged.

I haven’t made it back to the ranch been a long week at work so I’m staying at my town house but that was already kinda pointed out to me so gonna see if it was the problem so to speak, I don’t think it was as I measured it a few times and I would think it unlikely to get it back in the mic the same way each time but heck anything is possible,.... thank you.

I have had similar experiences with WINCHESTER, WLR primers, and have chalked it up to elasticity issues. They for the most part seem to fit loose, except the chrome ones. Even in New brass, except Lapua.

210M's are a lil larger.

Also as a rockchucker user... any primer on my floor stands a much higher chance of having been from decapping a case rather than being dropped. Live or not.

That’s definitely a little bigger and may be big enough to have made the difference in what I was seeing
