I WANT TO DO SOME TYPE OF COMPETITION SHOOTING,CAME ACROSS THESE RIFLES FOR SALE. I LIVE SOUTH OF HOUSTON.

1. Remington V S in .220 Swift,aluminum bedding block fiberglass stock. Action trued, bolt lugs lapped and a Hart heavy stainless 26 inch match barrel installed,trigger job by Darrell Holland

2. Savage Target Action RB/RP Trued up,24" Nutless Broughton 5c in 6m.m.BR, S.S.S. LVT stock

3. Rock River .223, 20" Shilen

I HAVE A Carl Zeiss CONQUEST 6.5-20x50 TO GO ON TOP.

Out of the 3, I would go with the 6BR. You could shoot Benchrest, Fclass, score matches, Groundhog target matches. If it is a 8tw barrel you could run it out to 1000 yds matches. The Savage can have the barrel and boltface changed, to make any round you want.

You may want to contact walkertexasranger. He regularly shoots the f-class matches at Bayou Rifles. They shoot various distances out to 1000 yards. He can guide you on the rifle as well.

I shoot F-T/R at Bayou every couple of weeks for the last few years. Just finished a 600 yard yesterday, as a matter of fact.

The next match will be Sunday, March 1st and it will be a 1000 yard match.

Ask your questions and be careful with that caps lock key.

Yea, I went out there last Sunday.... just to watch. They let
me go down to the pits an showed me how to score the targets.
I had a good time and every one was nice. The range is 33 miles
from my house. Gata get me a f-class gun.
